W Invaders

Use the mouse to shoot at letters falling from the sky. Earn money to buy nukes and shoot the rare multicoloured W's to clear the screen.

Pimp My Helecopter

Choose your favourite helicopter and avoid the black blocks. Stay away from the black blocks and your health will recharge, hit them and you will lose health. Hit to many and you will explode.

• Ability to choose the colour of the helicopter
• Thrust, Gravity etc. values are changable by editing an xml config file on the server.

Car Media Center

A program designed for car pc's with a touchscreen that makes it easy to select music, images and videos from a library. Using the CairoForms engine (see below) it is designed to be aesthetically pleasing and simple to use.

Features:

• Simple interface designed for in car use.
• Fully graphically customizable simply by changing image files or style descriptions, can be customised to suit the car, a company or anything.
• Runs off the sqlite database for fast music database access.
• Uses gestures such as swiping your finger up and down for volume control so that the user doesn't have to take their eyes off the road.

CairoForms

A visual framework powered by cairo that makes it easy to make a gui interface entirely out of images. I wrote it to make my car pc media product. It is designed for graphically intensive applications.

Features:

• Easy to use, just add a widget and use the toolbox to edit its properties.
• Architechure designed to be the same as the Windows.Forms control model so there is a minimal learning curve.
• Full polymorphism used throughout the project which signifigantly reduces the time to write a new widget
• Comes with several widgets to get started with including button, menu, pop menu, image and label just to name a few.
• Comes with built-in transitions between forms such as fade and slide.
• High performance and high quality raster compositing (with alpha) and vector using cairo.

Multimedia Query Language (MQL)

A language written for Car Media Center that makes the queries to the music database more user readable. The MQL parser converts the query to an SQL statement that is sent to the database.

Features:

• Human Readable Queries that save time for developer who don't have to worry about joining tables and remembering table names and datatypes.
• Multiple search terms that can be combined for powerful media searches. Example: "Find music where the artist starts with b and contains a"

LJ Horse Floats

A website made for a local horse float construction company

• Javascript Menus
• A program written in c# which scans the websites directory structure and automatically creates and updates the javascript in all the pages to make a navigation menu. I had to do this as the client wanted to update their own pages and they wanted to use thier own hosting which had no dynamic website support. This enabled them to easily make thier own pages without using a CMS.

Space Heist

A 3d animation film that I made for VCE media that was nominated for Top Screen.

Features:

• Lip synced 3d models
• A pFlow system to create a swarm of enemy ships.
• Dynamic texturing to create tunnel
• All original 3d models except for characters.
